Throughout his tenure, he has consistently advocated for the responsible use of taxpayer dollars and worked to build a more stable, productive direction for town government.Now, Daniel is taking that same commitment to Beacon Hill. Massachusetts has a red tape problem. Whether you are a hardworking family trying to buy your first home or a small business owner trying to grow and create jobs, government bureaucracy keeps getting in the way. Permitting delays, outdated regulations, and layers of unnecessary hurdles drive up costs and kill opportunity. We need more homes on the market so prices become manageable and homeownership is achievable again. Massachusetts should be the easiest place in New England to start, grow, and run a business. Right now it is one of the hardest.I will fight to cut every unnecessary regulation and bureaucratic barrier standing in the way of job creators and families alike. When government gets out of the way, people thrive.

While neighboring communities have secured hundreds of thousands, even millions of dollars in grants and earmarks for their residents, Billerica has been left with far less than what we deserve. Last year, our state representative secured zero dollars in earmark funding for Billerica. Not because the money isn't out there, but because he didn't even try. FIGHT FOR EVERY DOLLAR OUR TOWN DESERVES

A strong community depends on strong infrastructure, and right now Massachusetts is falling short. From our roads and bridges to our water systems and commuter rail, residents are too often being asked to make do while the problems continue to grow.Local roads, bridges, and water infrastructure need real investment. I will fight to increase local aid so that Billerica and communities like ours have the resources to repair roads, maintain critical infrastructure, and upgrade the aging water and sewer systems residents rely on every day. These may not be glamorous investments, but they are essential to public safety, quality of life, and long-term growth.The commuter rail is also one of the most important connections Billerica residents have to Boston, and it is not living up to its potential. North Billerica station has sat in disrepair for too long, and both North Billerica and Wilmington stations need meaningful investment to better serve the residents who rely on them every day.That includes expanding parking, improving station facilities, and increasing service frequency so the commuter rail becomes a genuinely reliable and attractive option for residents. Whether commuting into Boston for work or heading into the city for an event, public transit should be convenient, dependable, and worth choosing. Investing in transit reduces traffic, eases congestion, and improves quality of life across the region.Billerica deserves a representative who will fight for every dollar needed to keep our community moving, and that is exactly what I intend to do.

Strong communities depend on strong infrastructure. I’ll fight for the investments Billerica needs to improve our roads, modernize water and sewer systems, and make commuter rail a more reliable, practical option for residents.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION

The men and women who served this country deserve more than a thank you. They deserve a government that shows up for them. Massachusetts has a responsibility to ensure every veteran who calls this state home has access to the support, opportunities, and resources they have earned.No veteran should ever be homeless. I support expanding housing protections and creating more housing and workforce opportunities tailored to the challenges many veterans face when transitioning back to civilian life. Serving your country should never leave you without a roof over your head or a path forward.We must also do more to address mental health and suicide prevention. Veterans face these challenges at disproportionately high rates, and our response has not gone far enough. I will fight to expand access to mental health services and support systems specifically designed for veterans so that no one who served is left to face those battles alone.Accessing the benefits veterans have earned should never feel like navigating a bureaucratic maze. I will push to cut red tape and streamline the process so Massachusetts veterans can access the benefits and services they are owed without unnecessary delays or barriers.Finally, when the state spends taxpayer dollars, veteran-owned businesses should have a fair shot to compete and succeed. I support policies that create more opportunity for veteran entrepreneurs and help honor their service through meaningful economic opportunity.

Our veterans deserve more than gratitude. I’ll fight to ensure they have access to housing, mental health care, earned benefits, and economic opportunities that honor their service.

SUPPORTING OUR VETERANS

Massachusetts seniors have spent a lifetime working, paying taxes, and helping build the communities we all call home. They deserve a government that supports them in return. Right now, too many seniors are being squeezed by rising costs, limited housing options, and property taxes that continue to climb while incomes remain fixed.Addressing the cost of living for seniors starts with giving more support to local government. When the state increases local aid, it helps reduce the pressure on cities and towns that would otherwise be forced to raise property taxes. For seniors living on fixed or limited incomes, every increase can make it harder to remain in the homes and communities they have spent a lifetime building. I will fight to increase local aid so municipalities have the resources they need without placing more of the burden on residents.Senior housing is also a growing challenge that requires real attention. Massachusetts needs more affordable housing options designed specifically for older residents so they can age with dignity, stay close to family, and remain active members of the communities they love.Our seniors have given so much to this state and to our communities. It is time for the state to do more in return.

Seniors who spent a lifetime building our communities deserve the ability to age with dignity and remain in the places they call home. I’ll fight to ease the cost of living, expand senior housing, and protect older residents from being priced out of their communities.

AGING WITH DIGNITY

We need to prioritize targeted tax relief for hard working Billerica families, not multimillionaires living in Chestnut Hill mansions. I support tax policies that actually help Billerica families afford to live in Massachusetts, while maintaining necessary revenue to fund vital services. This includes:<ul><li>Raising the Child and Dependent Tax Credit to $750</li><li>Increasing the Earned Income Tax Credit to 50% of the federal credit</li><li>Raising the rent deduction to $5,000</li><li>Expanding the Circuit Breaker Credit so our seniors can stay in their homes.</li></ul>

Education is the foundation of everything. A strong economy, a thriving community, and a life of opportunity all start with a quality education. The pandemic took a real toll on our students and our schools, and we have not done enough to recover. Teachers are being asked to do more with less and students are paying the price. That has to change.I fully support funding our public schools so that every teacher has the resources they need and every student has a real shot at success. But preparing students for the future means more than just the traditional four-year college path. We need to invest in career and technical education so that students who want to enter the trades, healthcare, technology, or any other high-demand field have a clear and affordable pathway to get there. A student who graduates with a marketable skill and no debt is just as successful as one with a college diploma.Whether a student's path leads to college, a career in the trades, or directly into the workforce, Massachusetts has a responsibility to make sure they are prepared, supported, and set up to thrive. I will fight for the investments that make that possible.

EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Massachusetts has a long tradition of protecting individual liberty, personal freedom, and equal treatment under the law. Every resident deserves the freedom to live with dignity, privacy, and security, without fear of discrimination, harassment, or government overreach.I believe government has a responsibility to protect people’s rights, not restrict them. No one should face discrimination because of who they are, who they love, how they worship, where they come from, or the personal decisions they make about their own lives and healthcare. Respect, fairness, and basic decency are not partisan issues. They are core values that strengthen our communities.I also believe deeply personal medical decisions should remain between individuals and their doctors, not politicians. That includes protecting reproductive freedom and ensuring Massachusetts remains a place where those rights are secure.As your State Representative, I will always stand up for equal protection under the law, defend fundamental rights, and work to ensure every resident is treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.

Everyone deserves the freedom to live with dignity, privacy, and equal protection under the law. I’ll stand up for civil rights, reproductive freedom, and protections against discrimination so every resident is treated with fairness and respect.

PROTECT YOUR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS

Beacon Hill has a transparency problem. Too often, major decisions are made behind closed doors, legislation moves without enough public scrutiny, and residents are left with little insight into how decisions are made or how their tax dollars are being spent. That is not how democracy should work, and it should not be accepted as normal.I support real legislative transparency reform. Committee votes should be public, major legislation should be subject to a mandatory waiting period before a final vote, and public records laws should be strengthened and consistently enforced. Government spending should be easy to access, easy to search, and easy for taxpayers to understand.Massachusetts also needs stronger ethics protections. Legislators should never vote on matters where they have a direct financial interest, and the revolving door between elected office and the lobbying industry must be addressed. Independent redistricting is also long overdue so that politicians are no longer able to draw the very maps that help keep themselves in power.Transparency and accountability should not just be campaign talking points. On the Billerica Select Board, I have made open government, accessibility, and accountability a core part of how I serve. That is the standard I will bring to Beacon Hill, and I will continue fighting for a government that earns the public’s trust.

Government works best when it is open, accountable, and worthy of the public’s trust. I’ll fight for stronger transparency laws, tougher ethics rules, and reforms that make Beacon Hill more accountable to the people it serves.

GOVERNMENT REFORM & TRANSPARENCY

Massachusetts families and businesses pay some of the highest electricity rates in the nation. That's not inevitable. It's the result of bad policy, weak oversight, and a system rigged to work for utility companies and well-connected contractors instead of the people paying the bills. Eversource and National Grid operate as monopolies and they act like it. Rate structures are opaque, fixed charges keep rising, and working families absorb costs that should fall on large commercial users. That stops here.We need to pursue energy solutions that make sense and deliver real value, not lock working families into decades-long contracts designed in boardrooms to maximize shareholder returns. No major energy investment should ever be handed to a private conglomerate without strict rate protections or public ownership stakes. We must also reform Mass Save so it actually works for renters and working families, expand municipal aggregation so towns can negotiate better rates directly, and cut the red tape that keeps cheaper energy projects stuck in limbo while ratepayers foot the bill.It's time we hold these corporations accountable and put Massachusetts families first.
