EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Education is the foundation of everything. A strong economy, a thriving community, and a life of opportunity all start with a quality education. The pandemic took a real toll on our students and our schools, and we have not done enough to recover. Teachers are being asked to do more with less and students are paying the price. That has to change.
I fully support funding our public schools so that every teacher has the resources they need and every student has a real shot at success. But preparing students for the future means more than just the traditional four-year college path. We need to invest in career and technical education so that students who want to enter the trades, healthcare, technology, or any other high-demand field have a clear and affordable pathway to get there. A student who graduates with a marketable skill and no debt is just as successful as one with a college diploma.
Whether a student's path leads to college, a career in the trades, or directly into the workforce, Massachusetts has a responsibility to make sure they are prepared, supported, and set up to thrive. I will fight for the investments that make that possible.
